FEATURED NONPROFIT NYS TOBACCO-FREE COALITIONS
In 2013, New York State received more than $2 billion in tobacco revenues but spent only $39.3 million on tobacco prevention. Much of those precious funds were allocated to Advancing Tobacco Free Communities (ATFC), a network of organizational partners funded by the New York State Department of Health Tobacco Control Program that since 2000 has worked to bring community engagement and youth action components to statewide anti-tobacco efforts.
Spin Marketing took on this important cause beginning in 2006, after submitting a winning proposal to the Western New York Tobacco-Free Programs to provide comprehensive communications and marketing, including radio and media buying. The success of that relationship and the effective campaigns it produced has led Spin Marketing to expanded efforts with a number of ATFC initatives, including that of the Erie-Niagra Tobacco-Free Coalition, Tobacco Action Coalition of the Finger Lakes, and the Tobacco Action Coalition of Long Island. We are proud of these efforts and look to do more to make a difference in the lives of our fellow New Yorkers.
